Knowledge of the Future

I was in a plane in a seat from which I could see the same film projected on two screens.  One projection was up to about a minute after the other.  So, one could see the behaviours on the screen A, and its consequences would be simultaneously visible on screen B nearly a minute later.

Seeing the ‘future’ it was mostly obvious that this would happen in view of the ‘present’ behaviour, yet the characters were sometimes surprised by what happened.  They failed to see or understand what one would have thought were obvious facts.
